Our Mission
Our mission is to improve the quality of life of vulnerable children in Jinja District and across Uganda. We do this by providing a safe and nurturing home, access to education, nutritious food, healthcare and psychosocial support. We aim to empower children to develop confidence, self-esteem and emotional well-being, becoming self-reliant and capable members of society who can realize their full potential and build a brighter future.
Our Vision
At Gayela Children Foundation, we envision a future where every vulnerable child has the opportunity to grow up in a safe, loving, and supportive environment. Our key goals include:
- Provide a stable home and daily care for children in need, ensuring the best possible quality of life.
- Establish a community kindergarten offering free early education to vulnerable children in the village.
- Build a primary school in the future to guarantee access to safe and high-quality education.
- Support children in attending schools that match their individual talents, interests and needs.
- Develop a chicken poultry project to improve food security and create sustainable income for the foundation.
- Expand and strengthen our team with dedicated staff and volunteers who share our vision.
- Continuously improve living conditions, upgrading bedrooms and shared spaces to create a comfortable, safe and nurturing home.
- Empower children and the community, creating lasting positive change for everyone involved.
